The band are currently on a break, after the conclusion of their successful "Touring The Angel" world tour. In the coming months, watch for news on what new projects the boys have in the works. In the first Archives update (of many) of 2007, you can find three tracks from the Rock Am Ring date of the "Touring The Angel" tour. Judas, Stripped and Photographic - all full length video streams!

There was a decision to be made. 90 second excerpts from multiple shows, or a few select songs from each show, in full length. The ten studio album remasters will be released on special vinyl editions, in two waves. The first batch will be on March 5th, and the second batch will be on April 2nd. Click on the covers of the Remasters site for full details on each release. Please note that these are European only releases. Fans outside of Europe will have to get these releases via import. We suggest going through MuteBank. They have a number of tasty package deals going on right now.

On February 12th, the "Best Of" album will be being issued on a special three disc LP set! If any of you picked up the recent limited gatefold 12" of Martyr, and were impressed with the deluxe packaging, just wait until you see this! Again, this will be a "Europe only" release, but fans not currently living in Europe can get this release (and many others) via mail order through MuteBank. You will find the link to MuteBank in our "Store" area of the web site. We recommend you check them out.

The "Martyr" vinyl has been released, and it includes some remixes of classic DM tracks. The limited 12" singles comes in a very clean gatefold sleeve, and is not to be missed. Also out is the "Martyr" 7" picture disc, and a 7" picture disc for the first single from Playing The Angel, "Precious"!

The Precious 7" picture disc was not originally released when the single first came out last year. A large number of die hard fans gathered together, and through fan site depmod.com, started a petition for the single's release. Ladies and gentlemen, here is your picture disc!

Out on February 19th will be the OneTwo single "Cloud Nine". The title track "Cloud Nine" was co-written by Depeche Mode songwriter Martin Gore and also features his guitar work.

For OneTwo, a collaboration between OMD's Paul Humphreys and Claudia Brücken from the German cultact Propaganda, it is the second time the track is being released. Originally recorded for a Propaganda album it found its way onto OneTwo's self released "Item" debut EP (June 2004) when Propaganda split up. The "Cloud Nine" single will also feature an exclusive remix by Blank & Jones of the track, another exclusive remix of the album track "Home" by Manhattan Clique (known from their work with Erasure's Andy Bell) plus a [S.I.T.D.] remix of the only German sung track on OneTwo’s debut: "Kein Anschluss". The single precedes the "Instead" album out on February 26th on There, the band's own label.

Gore News

Mojo magazine reports. Directed by Dutch photographer and long time DM collaborator Anton Corbijn, the new film Control is part-financed by Depeche Mode's Martin Gore.
